Who is health coaching for?
Most importantly, health coaching is for those people who actually want to make changes. If you are someone that is not knowledgable about food and nutrition, and you feel unmotivated, unbalanced and unorganized, then you could most definitely use a health coach to guide you and hold you accountable. You will learn how to incorporate a diet rich in whole foods, set realistic goals, and develop a balanced routine. So often, we tell ourselves that tomorrow will be a new start... and then a simple distraction will knock us off track. With a health coach by your side, you will learn how to gain control and confidence when faced with distractions and difficult decision making.
The program seems long. Why six months?
Research has shown that it takes a certain amount of time to break an unwanted habit. With that being said, most people that come to me have multiple bad habits. I believe strongly in approaching one thing at a time. Trying to do too many things too quickly will only result in crashing and frustration. New habits and ideas need to be set in place and accomplished one step at a time. I also offer a three month program if you truly feel the full six months is not a good fit for you.
Do you take insurance?
I am not able to accept insurance. Just know that the money you spend on health coaching will be worth it when you become a healthier person. In the end, you will ultimately spend less on doctor's visits and prescriptions.
I am terrified to commit. How will I know if this is right for me?
As I mentioned, I only wish to work with those that truly desire change? I offer an initial consultation for every potential client where we will go over your health history and discuss how I can help you. During that time, we will get to know one another so I can ease your feelings of hesitation. Ultimately, the decision belongs to you. I assure you, that everyone fears change. I am here to help in any way I can. I always do my best to make my clients feel safe and secure. And of course, we will most definitely have a little fun along the way...
