With courage on my side, I made the choice to just go for it. In the beginning, I worked hard to build up my community and organize my pickup site. To my surprise, many people, friends and strangers, jumped on board to receive this amazing food. Farmigo believes that many of us our ready for an alternative way to shop and cook. People are becoming more and more interested in knowing exactly where their food is coming from and what's been done to it before it gets to their table. Farmigo is providing an incredible service that allows us to have all this information with the click of a button.
As an organizer, I have the pleasure of helping these hard working, local farmers get their fresh food into the hands of my environmentally and health conscious members. What a cool opportunity! As many of you know, the past five years have been quite a journey for me as I transitioned away from the world of Broadway and towards a new way of life as health coach, teacher, entrepreneur, and wife. As a health coach, I constantly feel the need to walk the talk. I must always be an example for my clients. By showing them that I can successfully lead the kind of life I'm steering them to lead, I feel I'm doing my job with truth and passion. Each and every week, my work with Farmigo is helping me to walk my talk on an even deeper level.
These folks on the panel are the real deal. Not only do they literally get their hands dirty, they must also market their businesses, be smart entrepreneurs, hire passionate employees, manage money, and even drive trucks! They expressed how they literally do it all. I was impressed to say the least. And even with all they have on their plates, they still make time to attend events like we had last night. In the end, they made a very strong point in expressing how grateful they are for anyone and everyone that supports them and buys the beautiful food they produce.
